Successful workshop on Harmonisation of Standard Operating Procedures

GRACIOUS and PATROLS partners discussed a range of protocols for development into Standard Operating Procedures during the workshop, held on 12 and 13 June in Bithoven, Netherlands.

The workshop included:

• Breakout groups on nanomaterial dispersion protocols and characterisation led by Anna Costa (CNR) and Keld Alstrup Jensen (NRCWE).
• Vicki Stone (Heriot-Watt University) and Ali Kermanizadeh (Heriot-Watt University) led a breakout group to discuss protocols for 3D gastrointestinal tract models and 3D liver spheroids.
• Shareen Doak (University of Swansea) and Hedwig Braakhuis (RIVM) led a breakout on genotoxicity SOPs.

The active discussions have led to some great feedback which will be incorporated into the SOPs before circulating to partners for further comments and editing.

The finalised SOPs will be published via PATROLS and GRACIOUS.
